About the Company:
One by one (UK) limited (1byone.co.uk) is a forward thinking and established e-commerce company with its UK business headquarter just outside London. Using our innovative e-platform and selected distribution channels, we provide latest electronic products to private and corporate consumers around the world. Having gained a great success in the U.S market, we expanded into the UK and we are growing. Working from our Luton office, we are looking for a UK sales account manager to organically develop our business in the UK.
The Role:
Working closely with company's UK Managing Director, you will be responsible to maintain a broad and in-depth understanding of targeted UK consumer market accurately and effectively. You will be aware of market movements, competitor's activities and maintain our competitive advantage. You will initiate and develop business relationships with UK relevant product distributors especially large retailers and manage their accounts. You will also liaise with our co-operating product suppliers abroad, ensure consumer needs in the UK are at all time accurately and efficiently communicated to the suppliers and make sure we constantly have demanded products on offer in the UK. You will recruit and train junior sales staff as business grows.
Skills and qualifications needed:
You'll have experience in developing business in the UK and a general knowledge of international business. You will have a good understanding of the general UK retail consumer market. You will be a confident networker able to build business relationships with medium-large UK retailers and large product suppliers from outside the UK.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Degree is not a necessary but you must have experience in developing business in the UK. You must demonstrate strong sense of commercial awareness, drive to succeed, ability to think on your feet and solve problems. Since this role involves communicating and negotiating with product suppliers from China, although not necessary, a previous exposure in dealing with Chinese businesses is a bonus.
