Warehouse Operative

Job description

Main Duties

• Loading and unloading vehicles by forklift and by hand

• Checking incoming and outgoing stock

• Maintaining clear records of stock movements

• Sorting and allocating stock to zones

• Stock counting and location checks

Essential Skills required

• Good organisational skills

• Reliability

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job

• Able to work alone or as part of a team

• Basic literacy and numeracy

• Able to think and plan ahead to avoid unnecessary work

Desirable Skills

• Forklift experience

• Stock management experience

Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting. It is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.

This role is suited for individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast-paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency. Forward planning is essential to getting the job done on time and without tiring yourself out.

Forklift experience is desirable but not required, you will be given training as needed. We offer both

permanent and temporary contracts.
