We are a food wholesaler company looking for Full-Time Warehouse Manager Assistant to join our team in London to support the logistics and operations of our warehouse.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your responsibility is to drive continuous improvement and execute projects to optimise the warehouse and ensure that our processes are running smoothly and effectively. The right candidate will be required to assist the Warehouse Manager to assess where improvements can be made in terms of people management/performance and software and processes.

Wages: £11/hr (Monthly Pay)

Working hours: 9 hours per day, 52 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the rota (Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm)

Holiday entitlement: 28 days per annual

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure all tasks are allocated within the warehouse to ensure the daily workload can be carried out

·         Ensuring that the team work efficiently and in a timely manner

·         Trouble shoot across the business identifying and resolving any issues that affect the customer, efficiency or capacity of the operation

·         Responsible for the training of direct report employees, and assisting on creating all training procedures in the warehouse

·         Carrying out all required health and safety protocols and checks, and ensuring that the health and safety policies are adhered to by all employees in the workplace

·         Assisting warehouse manager on organising the warehouse in terms of stock locations, racking, and allocating stock in locations appropriately

·         Assisting the warehouse manager on inventory aspects of the warehouse; from goods in to good outs, stock checks and handling processes of all stock

·         Analyse performance and raise issues in order to develop an improvement plan

·         Improving backorder, replacement, and order exceptions to pro-actively prevent order issues and advancing customer experience

Experience:

·         3+ years experience in warehouse environment

·         1+ years experience in oriental food warehouse preferred (but not necessary)

·         Experience managing or supervising a team

·         Strong analytical understanding of operations, logistics, warehouse processes and systems

·         Awareness of cost control and keeping cost down on labour, stock and running efficiently

·         Proven organisation, communication and relationship building skills

·         Experience using MS-Office software including extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, Word, Access

·         Proven track record of problem solving and process implementation in a professional environment

·         Experience in developing and executing project plans

·         Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
