We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join a well-known Import and Distribution company in Biggleswade. In the United Kingdom, our client is a pan-Asian food distributor. They are an end-to-end distribution network, dealing with manufacturers from start to finish, and their main distribution facility centralizes hundreds of different chains on a regular basis, ranging from normal to cold chain products.

You will be a part of Buying team based at the firms' head office. This is a full-time permanent position which also offers the opportunity to advance within the firm's excellent food operation.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of office management experience is required, as well as good IT knowledge and proficiency with MS Office.

• You must be fluent in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely orders and product delivery in accordance with Money and Hold, Allocation, and Storage facility requirements.

• Evaluating vendor choices and identify the best option based on cost; quality and availability

• Observance of purchase and supplier contracts

• Keeping an eye on stock levels and sticking to a spending plan

• Purchase prices are being monitored and updated as needed.

• Compilation Goods and Purchase Orders Notes Obtained

• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and other departments.

• Opening new accounts for suppliers and customers in collaboration with sales and finance.

• Updating data on our internal software system in a timely manner

• Supporting with any other office tasks as needed and covering for coworkers in the sales team as needed

• Managing all inquiries in a professional, timely, and efficient manner
