We have an amazing Accounts Assistant position available for a wine and spirits company in Gloucestershire. Our client is a well-known broker of barrel whisky and a provider of distillery services to the Scotch whisky sector.  They have good ties to the major whisky manufacturers and a sizable stock of cask whisky on hand. You'll be in charge of providing the financial team with highly professional and proactive support.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• AAT Qualified.

• NetSuite experience

• Second language in French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Mandarin

Responsibilities:

• Sales ledger: raising and posting bills, issuing statements, and credit control.

• Processing of renewals and new clients as part of the customer due diligence process

• Purchase ledger: coding and posting of invoices and reconciling vendor statements.

• Raising of purchase orders

• Inbox management for accounts.

• Resolving issues with customers and suppliers.

• Assisting with VAT accounting, ensuring that the appropriate VAT codes are applied to financial transactions.

• Providing assistance with month-end and year-end procedures.

• Assisting the Finance department with ad hoc projects and the deployment of system enhancements.

• For the sales and inventory teams, conduct an analysis.
