TANGI LIMITED T/A New Oriental House is a Chinese Takeaway shop based in Chelmsford, United Kingdom. New Oriental House guarantees natural, fresh and healthy food cooked to the order preference of our customers. We aim to provide top quality hot dishes for their customers. The ingredients that we use to prepare their dishes are the freshest and highest quality. We use locally sourced Irish beef, chicken, and fresh fish and seafood, all of which are carefully prepared daily by our expert Chef.

We are now looking to hire a full-time Chinese Chef. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing Chinese and oriental style cuisine. Candidates should be entitled to live and work in the UK, or can meet UK working visa requirements. We are willing to sponsor the suitable candidate for a UK working visa where needed.

Work Location: 14 The Vineyards, Great Baddow, Chelmsford CM2 7QS

Duties of the post:   

·         Prepare Chinese and oriental style cuisine in a sanitary and timely manner

·         To work with the head chef to implement any improvements relating to the kitchen and standard of food

·         Follow strictly Food Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures

·         Ensure that all the required equipment, supplies and resources are to hand and in good working order, reporting any problems to the head chef

·         To prepare requests for supplies prior to running out of produce for Chinese Cuisine and to ensure that these requests are passed to the head chef or manager and to ensure that deliveries are received and stored appropriately.

Salary: GBP 20,000-26,000 per year depending on experience

Skill, experience and qualifications:

·         Have at least 3 years-experience in a busy Chinese / Oriental kitchen and be familiar with traditional styles of Chinese and Oriental cuisine.

·         Ideally familiar with a wok

·         Ability to deliver fresh food to the highest standards

·         A great personality who is driven and easy to get along with

·         Candidate with Food Hygiene Certificates are preferred

·         Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
