Accounting Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Assistant role in a Manchester-based Accounting firm. This is a chartered accountant firm established in the United Kingdom that specializes in cross-border VAT services, UK business support, and taxation and accounting services. The firm is looking for a Chinese-speaking Accounting Assistant to fill this position.

Job Requirements:

• Management abilities and expertise are essential.

• Capable of speaking and writing in both Chinese and English.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Excellent organizational abilities.

• A productive working style.

• E-commerce knowledge.

• Vat would be an added benefit.

• Excellent IT abilities.

• MS Office 365 proficiency, particularly in Excel.

• Team player.

• Working in a high-pressure atmosphere is a must.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize a heavy task are required.

• Approach to achieving client expectations that is focused and proactive.

• Continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

• Outstanding stakeholder management abilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Using the sales data given by clients, calculate the VAT payable amounts.

• Submission of VAT returns to relevant tax authorities.

• Client service for e-commerce clients

• Meeting deadlines for VAT submissions.

• Cooperation with EU partner offices.

• Managing correspondence from tax authorities.

• Monthly management accounts are prepared.

• Gather monthly sales figures.

• VAT calculation and return submission.

• Keeping an internal database.

• Contact with clients.

• Other administrative responsibilities.
