Junior Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a full-time junior management accountant with good knowledge of accounting principles to help in our busy accounts department, supporting the financial controller and management accountant.

Duties and responsibilities of the job include:

Production of full profit and loss account (including overheads) for relevant retail shops

Assisting finance team in all aspects of the preparation, including posting journals, running reports

Performing month end balance sheet reconciliation for all relevant accounts and providing detailed explanations for any variances

Invoice processing

Processing expense requests

Credit control

Cash book maintenance

Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers

Banks reconciliation

Liaising with third party providers, franchisees, and suppliers

Basic administration

Updating and maintaining procedural documentation

Aid and support where required during the annual budget process to enable the budget to be produced

Requirements:

Experience in a fast-paced finance team

Experience in month end reporting.

Excel skills (formulas, charts, and pivot tables)

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills - both written and verbal

Analytical skills to include investigation and explanation of the causes of variances.

Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and a real desire to add value

Proactive and self-motivated with good time management skills

Strong IT skills (particularly MS Excel)

Exposure to Xero preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
