Thai Malaysia Sushi Chef

We are looking for an excellent sous chef and a wok chef to join us and to bring our successful restaurant to a higher level.

We are located at Harrogate, between Leeds and York, a 2.5-hour train journey from London.

We are currently holding one AA rosette and have been established for 20 years. We had been listed as one of the top 100 restaurants by Sunday Times.

Requirement:

1) A minimum of five years of head chef or wok chef experience within a busy fine dining restaurant is required. Excellent cooking skills for Asian Fusion food, including Thai, Malaysian,  Singapore, Chinese, and Japanese food.

2) Excellent people management skills. Hard-working, and good organization skills are essential to lead the team to cope with the high demand from the kitchen operations including the main restaurant, take-away, Sunday buffet, hotel breakfast, and staff dinners. 

3) Cost control is an essential part of the job. Ordering, stock control, and proper preparation for the daily operations are required for this role. 

4) The candidate needs to be able to design the menu for the special functions, and correct pricing and costing. 

In exchange, we offer a relocation package, accommodation assistance, 28 days holiday pay per year, with a bonus related excellent pay package.
