Job Title: Warehouse Operative at NG Terminal Ltd

Job Summary:

NG Terminal Ltd is seeking an experienced, forklift-licensed Warehouse Operative to support our warehouse operations and maximize productivity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and team, ensuring compliance with our ETSF bonded area and in-house operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Unload sea freight containers and palletise to locate goods in designated WH areas/locations.
2. Loose loading to final mile carriers
3. Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager/ Floor Manger /Supervisors to maintain company and departmental standards.
4. Operate efficiently in a busy, pressurized environment while delivering outstanding customer service.
5. Ensure proper handling and labelling of all goods.
6. Collaborate with other departments and show support to colleagues
7. Operate manual and mechanised WH equipment
8. Palletize freight and manually tip freight into yorks as needed.
9. Proactively plan resources and activities to optimize task execution while on duty
10. Contribute to continuous improvement within the WH department performance
11. Maintain good housekeeping practices within the warehouse and complete housekeeping tasks
12. Manage time effectively to ensure timely handling of the inbound/outbound of freight, and delegated work tasks to avoid delays in operations.
13. Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to corporate identity standards.
14. Manual handling of freight
15. Comply with all Fire safety, H&S company policies and procedures at work
16. Use PPE at all times

Qualifications:

1. Valid forklift B1 license and experience in counterbalance truck driving is required
2. Valid pedestrian stacker and e-pump licence and experience in operating such equipment - preferred
3. Requirements:
4. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays, as required.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

1. Nationwide Forklift Operator Licence (preferred)

Pay: £27,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
